My students for the past 30 years or more will know how much I love Unison pastels, not only for
their colour range, but primarily for their quality, reliability and versatility. When the opportunity arose to apply to be one of their Associate Artists I simply had to try - and I was selected!! I had asked to be an ambassador of their amazing pastels some 20 years ago, but at the time that wasn't part of their vision. I'm therefore really happy and excited to be directly involved with Unison Colour now.
Look out for my blog articles that will appear on their website as well as my general involvement in their Unison Colour Pastelling Community. I encourage you to signup to their newsletter and to visit their site regularly for pastel news, from not only me, but other outstanding Associate Artists. Another go at The Archibald!
What an honour and privilege to paint this wonderful artist and man...at 91 he is still an inspiring mentor to so many artists.
My painting left today by courier for Sydney, and even though it's a long shot that it will be selected out of almost 1000 paintings the journey to paint Bob has been so rewarding.
UPDATE: No luck in being selected and hung for The Archibald Prize. 😔

Unveiling of Archibald Subject
'Angel In The Room' (Delta), oil
I'm always up for a challenge and this portrait was no exception with Singer/Songwriter Delta Goodrem. Timing, logistics, dealing with agents, and even changing from my original concept were all in a days work...actually months of work!
This painting now hangs at The Hills Grammar School, Kenthurst, NSW, which Delta attended.
Exhibition by Fusion Six in conjunction with Melbourne City Mission
Life is a challenge. For some more so than for others. The exhibition says it all through the eyes of six artists and six special young people.
Copies are still available for $5 + postage. Contact Regina at email@example.com
