About Regina PSVA-MP, AGRAF
“Art gives us a connection to the fascinating world around us. In my work, I like to echo the positive beauty around me and how people interact with nature and the environment." "I feel very much at home near water and drawn to its life force. It inspires me to paint its many forms of movement, power and particularly reflection, using oils, pastel, charcoal and sketching in pen & wash. Although I have painted many other subjects over the years, water and the human form are now the areas I specialize in. Whether painting outdoors or in my studio, painting to me is all about the energy of doing it, responding to the effects of light, colour, the drama and the atmosphere of what's before me. My goal is to invite a sense of wonder and exploration in each painting where I want the viewer to feel its atmosphere...as if they are part of the subject. Instead of words, I pursue the magic I see and feel, connecting the brain, eyes and heart, using the language of paint." - Regina Paintings Through exhibitions, Regina's work has had the privilege of being awarded many major prizes and has been published in Australian and international magazines and books that include the cover of Australian Artist Magazine (2006) and in a special supplement for the French magazine Pratique des Arts (2014).
